Hi.  I’m Lexi.  My favorite color is white and I love the smell of rain.  Sparkles fascinate me.  Indecision is my specialty.  To me, Christmas is the best time of the year because of the wonderful things that people do with music.  I’m a classifiable Harry Potter nerd.  I’m that girl that is sitting at home on a Saturday night writing songs while everyone else is at the movies.

A song is such a great way to tell somebody something that you wish you could tell them in person.  It’s a letter to someone you’re taken with, hurt by, in love with, pleading for forgiveness, or angry at.  Even if you know you’re never going to send it.  When I write a song, I imagine what it would be like to play it for the person it was written for.  I would want them to know instantly and be thinking “This is about me.”

I have many people who inspire me a great deal, but some are more prominent in my mind.  For one, I have always revered Taylor Swift more than anyone.  She’s done things with music that I didn’t even know were possible.  When an artist has as much longevity as she has had, I know that she’s who I’ll always strive to be like.

Carrie Underwood is such a nice person and is one of my idols.  I was fortunate enough to see her in concert and she gave me so many inspired ideas for how I want my concert tour to be someday.  Finally, I’m inspired by my Mom with the way that she handles everyday life with a smile and a positive outlook.  She’s my oldest friend and my biggest supporter and I know that at my first concert, opening night, she’s going to be there squeezing my hand as I get ready to enter the arena.

I want to send a big hug and thank you to anybody and everybody who has ever listened to my music or helped me in some small way.  You’re making my dreams possible.  Thank you to my Dad who acts as my manager.  And finally, I owe a huge thank you to all of the boys who have so generously supplied inspiration for my many songs!  Without you, I would be sitting in my room with writer’s block! (;
